Fuel Polishing
Over time, fuel can accumulate dirt, water, and other impurities that reduce efficiency and increase wear on engines. Our Fuel Polishing service restores fuel quality by filtering out these contaminants, ensuring your fuel system operates smoothly and your equipment performs at its best. Regular polishing protects engines, reduces downtime, and extends the lifespan of your fuel.

What is Fuel Polishing?
Fuel polishing is the process of cleaning stored fuel by removing water, sediment, microbial growth and other contaminants. It helps keep diesel in good condition, protects engines from damage and ensures standby equipment runs reliably when needed.
Why Do I Need Fuel Polishing?
Regular Fuel Polishing not only improves current fuel quality but also prevents future issues. By keeping fuel clean and water-free, you reduce the risk of corrosion, engine wear, and unexpected downtime. Consistent maintenance helps protect your investment, maximise efficiency, and give you peace of mind that your fuel system is reliable when it matters most.
What Happens to My Fuel?
Once fuel has been polished, it is clean, stable, and free from water, sludge, and microbial growth. This restored fuel flows more efficiently through your system, protects your engine from damage, and ensures reliable performance wherever your equipment is needed. Regular polishing also helps maintain the long-term quality of stored fuel, keeping it ready for use at any time. Our systems mean that minimal fuel is lost during the polishing process, rarely losing more than 2% when removing diesel bug.

Our Process
1. Assessment
We inspect your fuel tanks and analyse contamination levels.
2. Polishing
Your fuel and tank are polished with all contimanants removed. Inspection hatches may need to be cut into the fuel tank at this stage to gain access.
3. Optional Additives
We provide optional additives such as Marine 16 to help prevent future contamination.
4. Verification
Post-polishing testing ensures your fuel is clean and ready for use.
